To Reduce Hunger When School Lets Out, More Children Need Access to Summer Meals
FRAC’s report, Hunger Doesn’t Take a Vacation: Summer Nutrition Status Reportranks all 50 states and the District of Columbia on participation in the Summer Nutrition Programs. The District of Columbia ranked No. 1, serving summer lunch to 47.9 children for every 100 low-income children receiving free and reduced-price school lunch.
